Aishwarya Rai Bachchan marks her 50th birthday by sharing special moments with cancer patients.

Celebrated Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan marked her 50th birthday in a unique way, choosing to spend it with cancer patients rather than hosting an extravagant party.

As reported by the Times of India, the renowned actress, known for her role in "Devdas," celebrated her milestone birthday in the company of her mother, Vrinda, and her daughter, Aaradhya. They attended a special event organized for cancer patients by GSB Seva Mandal.

Aishwarya, the star of "Robot," revealed that her family had a personal encounter with cancer this year, as her mother had battled the disease. Fortunately, her mother has since recovered, thanks to the support of exceptional medical professionals and an outpouring of love and blessings from their well-wishers.

She shared, "I don't know if I should be saying this, but cancer has touched our lives personally. First, it was my dad, and my mom got it earlier this year, but she has come out of it, with the support of so many incredible doctors and a lot of love and blessings from everyone."

However, Aishwarya emphasized that their involvement in supporting cancer patients was not solely due to their personal experience. She mentioned that they have been associated with this cause in the past and that her mother's battle with cancer was coincidental.

She expressed her sentiments, saying, "I couldn't see today becoming memorable in any other way. It'll continue to be my way of life to be able to do my part and be there in any way I can for people in my life and anyone's life who I can touch."

Aishwarya acknowledged the role of the media in her journey and expressed her gratitude, saying, "I just had to stand here and, through the members of the media, express gratitude to everyone who has touched my life, all the professionals I've worked with who gave me the opportunity to be able to stand as a personality on a public platform where I'm able to communicate, by the virtue of the work I've done."
