Cristiano Ronaldo scores twice in 5-2 Al-Nassr win over Al-Ittihad, confidently declares, 'We're not stopping

After scoring twice in Al-Nassr's 5-2 victory over Al-Ittihad, Cristiano Ronaldo issued a bold warning to rivals. Abderrazak Hamdallah initially gave the hosts a lead, but Ronaldo equalized from the spot. The visitors led at halftime after Talisca's goal (38'). Despite Hamdallah's second goal, Ronaldo secured his brace with another penalty, securing the lead. Sadio Mane's late brace sealed an emphatic win for Luis Castro's team. Ronaldo shared game pictures on Instagram with a confident message.

"Important win! We are not stopping!"

The victory brought Al-Alami within seven points of the dominant leaders, Al-Hilal, who have accumulated 50 points in 18 games. Castro's team has now won three consecutive league matches after a 3-0 loss to the league leaders earlier this month.

Cristiano Ronaldo from Al-Nassr tops both the goal-scoring and assists charts in the Saudi Pro League.

Al-Nassr's captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, is enjoying a remarkable debut season in the Saudi top flight. Across 24 games in various competitions, the 38-year-old has notched up an impressive record of 23 goals and 11 assists. This includes leading the league with 19 goals, three more than second-placed Alexander Mitrovic of Al-Hilal, and nine assists, edging past competitors like Allan Saint-Maximin of Al-Ahli and Mourad Batna of Al-Fateh.

In his last three Saudi Pro League games, Ronaldo has been prolific, contributing four goals and two assists, rebounding from a goalless outing in the defeat to Al-Hilal on December 1. His scoring prowess extends beyond the league, with three goals in the AFC Champions League, where Al-Nassr has advanced to the knockout stage, and one in the King's Cup.

As of 2023, Ronaldo leads the scoring charts with 53 goals for club and country, surpassing Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane. Only Manchester City's Erling Haaland, with 50 goals, has a chance to catch up, given City's upcoming matches in the next four days.
