The consistent policy for educational institutions functioning under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has been loosened. Islamabad is preparing for a sudden winter wave, hence the decision was made as a preventative measure.
Students are permitted to dress in any warm clothing of any color to stay warm and shield themselves from the cold, according to the official announcement.
The above-mentioned relaxation applies to private educational institutes registered with Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Islamabad.
Besides, private educational institutes are required to observe the opening timings not earlier than 8:30 AM during the months of January and February.
Separately, the FDE has altered the operating hours for educational institutions that fall under its purview. The revised times will be in place starting on January 11 and continuing until further orders.
The country is about to experience a severe cold wave. In the majority of Pakistan, including Islamabad, mercury is anticipated to decrease dramatically. The Margalla Hills, which are close to Murree, are also expected to receive snowfall, according to the capital.
