A24 has acquired the rights to Walter Isaacson's biography on the world's wealthiest individual, with insider information revealing that the biopic on Elon Musk will be produced by Darren Aronofsky's production company, Protozoa Pictures. Musk expressed his satisfaction with Aronofsky leading the project in a post on X last Friday.

The studio, previously collaborating with Aronofsky on "The Whale" starring Brendan Fraser, has a successful track record, securing Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Makeup and Hair Styling. A24 received a total of 18 Academy Award nominations across six films this year, ranking second only to entertainment giant Walt Disney.

Isaacson, known for his biography on Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, saw his work adapted into a film by Universal in 2015, featuring Michael Fassbender as the late tech tycoon. The Musk biography, released by Simon & Schuster in September, attracted significant attention during negotiations, with top studios and filmmakers in the competitive mix, according to the source who spoke to Reuters.

Elon Musk, serving as the chief of SpaceX, the world's most valuable automaker Tesla, and overseeing ventures like The Boring Company and Neuralink, has been the subject of intense public interest. The billionaire entrepreneur also made headlines last year with his $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, following a six-month saga.
